Dallas Video Production FAQs #12
Where should I put my video?
EVERYWHERE. There are endless places to put your video. Put it on all of them. Make your video as obvious and clear as possible. Put your web video on the homepage of your website; that’s as obvious and noticeable as it can get. It needs to be the focal point of your website; the top left corner is THE spot.
Upon entering the site, the viewers will be greeted by a video that showcases your business practices and gives them a taste of what you can produce. It immediately grabs hold of the viewer’s attention, keeping their eyes glued to the screen. This initial gain onto your website will help your viewers to recall what they just viewed and will also help them navigate through your site with ease. We suggest that you put more than one video on your website to keep the viewers engaged and wanting to know more.
After they see how one web video works, chances are they will search and watch the others as well. Because people lose interest in things so quickly, it is very important to keep their interest flowing. Web videos are the answer to keeping the interest alive. Put whatever you want on your website, but if you really want to make a statement and stir the pot, absolutely put a web video on the homepage. Go other routes as well and launch your video in articles, on video sharing sites, link it to emails, and launch it on YouTube. The more area you cover, the better chance you will have. Without a web video, your viewers will lose interest quickly.

I like these short blogs. Sweet and short and clear. Video is definitely huge in the marketing arena. Everyone should look into it. Thanks for the post!
Thanks for this blog! I can’t stress enough how important it is to put your videos everywhere you can on the internet. Don’t limit yourself to just YouTube! Good job.
You guys should write a blog about google analytics. It would definitely supplement this blog. Thanks for the info.
I’m still fairly new to the video aescpt of marketing With my own efforts, I realized that in the Self Development field, I needed to help my readers get to know me who I am inside as a person if people are going to listen to what I have to offer them and making an introductory video was a way to do this. It just came out from the heart but I realize there is so much more I can do with it. A big learning curve, to be sure, but it’s definitely doable! Hopefully making the videos from that honest place within will help increase readership as well. But, as Patrick mentions, I need to address the actual distribution. Good to hear this stuff from the pros!
You are absolutly cocrert. We put up multiple videos and found it was confusing to clients. We settled with two and rotated them. Check out our video at safe-homes.com or air-testing.com. You will see how we producted them. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
I always wondered about whether I should share my video on Facebook. Really liking this blog by the way!
The second miskate that people make in videos is that they don’t understand their target market. This is a big miskate because, if you don’t know your target market, then you can’t give them what they want.
My videos always do better on Facebook than YouTube for some reason.
