Dallas Video Production FAQs #15
How long does the entire video production process take?
The process of producing a video really depends on the complexity of your web video. If it is super complex and you want all of the bells and whistles, then it will take longer. Don’t expect a video to magically be completed out of thin air. You must have patience in the video production process.
Once a client has contacted a video production company, a few questions need to be answered before anything can begin. Are you writing the script or is the company? If you are, do you know how to write a script? Most likely no, but if you can then bravo. We recommend that you save yourself the headache and let the video production company write the script. The script is the juice, the good the stuff, the nucleus of the nachos. Without a well-written script, you are up a creek without a paddle.
Once a script has been approved, the typical video is about two to three minutes. A two to three minute video takes 3-5 days before completion using a traditional green screen with graphics and animation. Don’t get antsy and start pestering the video production company about when your video will be ready. If you want the video production company to recreate another Avatar, then it will take longer. Breathe, relax, and let the magic happen.

You have done a extraordinary job!
This is true. Some people don’t understand the video production process. I hope this enlightens some of them. Video production is no piece of cake.
100% agree with this. The script is the most important part. Without it, the video is just garbage.
Usually a company’s blog is so self-centered. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
You have so many interesting tips here! Thanks!
It’s very difficult to estimate how long it will take. I usually overbudget the time just to be sure.
Thanks for the info! I always wondered what to tell people when they ask me about this(I do professional videography.)
