Dallas Video Production FAQs #4
How many videos should I have?
Every website should have at least one web video. Put your initial video on your homepage to welcome the customers with open arms. The initial video should be the most important and will have the biggest job. Compare it to going into a restaurant and coming up to the hostess; there is a reason why they put the cute girls at the front door.
The information in the initial video should be the core information of the website that hits the highlights. After implementing that initial video, add a few more videos where necessary. When providing examples of your successes, it would be a smart idea to use a web video. In a demonstration or a “how to”, use a video. Visual examples are of better use than written examples.
If your videos are short and to the point, the information is better remembered and utilized. So the point is better understood, I would recommend two to three videos on your website. Having one is great and absolutely necessary, but chances are your visitor will want to view another video about your business. Insert yourself in someone else’s mind and think about what they would want to see in a video. Whatever you would want to see, they probably would want to see as well.

I don’t know how I stumbled across this blog but I’ve been reading all your FAQ’s, and they’ve been really helping me out on my YouTube HowTo channel. Thanks!
I agree that for a basic company overview or “hello” video, one is plenty.
This is a great idea. I say, the more videos on your website the better.
