Is there anything we can do to help cut costs?
The cost correlates with how much you provide. Providing the video production company with more detail will cut costs. Not providing any detail will add to the overall costs. Give the video production company all logos, photos, and music that you plan on using in your web video. Research, buy, and supply all the images to the video production company. If they have to research and buy the data, it is going to cost more.
Save the company time and you money and provide all of the data beforehand. This way it is clear what you want and how you want the video to appear. This allows the company to do what they do best. Another way to cut costs is to be the talent or supply the talent. The money saved on using your own talent could be used elsewhere, but the overall presentation of the material will not be as professional and will not be conveyed as well. A spokesperson delivers the content in an effective and proficient manner. They are comfortable in front of a camera and know how to articulate the material. If you are the talent or someone else is the talent, practice, practice, practice. Read over the script until you are sick of the material. Be prepared and ready to go. There is no room for nervousness and lack of presentation.
