Pretty much everyone has some sort of mobile device, whether it be a cellphone, laptop or tablet…right? According to a study from The World Bank, that statistic is approximately 75 percent of the world. That’s a pretty big chunk of the pie!
With everyone constantly looking down at a little screen and getting the latest updates and news from the palm of their hands, it’s important that websites are able to accommodate each device accordingly. Depending on whether you’re using an iPhone, Android, or tablet, the resolution and visual representation of a website should be the same throughout.
How is this achieved? First off, make sure that when someone is accessing your website from say, their iPad, they aren’t constantly zooming in an out or scrolling left to right…that’s just a pain! By using plug-ins on your website, you can have the site conform to whatever screen size it is being accessed from…cool! Using a “responsive theme” on whatever web host you are using allows for the site to conform and automatically adapt to the screen size. Responsive=coherent=easy for the person visiting your site!
So remember that when you’re creating your site, use a responsive theme that will configure to all devices across the board. (aka, user friendly!)
